  • The optional loading of money into any of the 16 boxes.
  • The main round where the process of selecting boxes and offers of cash prizes made.

The initial two rounds let you place bets where the amount of the bet is controlled by you. The amount you wager in the initial rounds has a direct effect on the final amount in the boxes.

Let’s take a look at the three rounds in more detail.

Round 1 – Qualification process

In the qualification process, you’ll be presented with a safe wheel, which you spin to line up the three gold markers.

Before you start spinning the wheel, you have the option to select one of the briefcases to be the high-value box. The default is box 16.

You can set the wheel to one of the three modes:

  • Normal Mode – In this mode, all three sections need to be collected and each spin costs its face value.
  • Easy mode – This mode locks one of the qualification sections in, so you only have to get the remaining two. Spinning in Easy Mode costs 3x your initial bet.
  • Very Easy Mode – This mode locks two of the qualification sections, meaning there is only one to get. Spinning costs 9x your initial bet.

Note that your initial bet directly corresponds to the amount that’s placed in one of the 16 briefcases. Also, the higher the bet, the more money is initially placed in the boxes.

Once you’ve lined up the three rows and unlocked the safe, you get qualified for the next round.

Round 2 – Topping up the briefcases

In this round, the wheel switches up and you’re able to top up the boxes you earnt in the qualification process – these boxes are the amounts that will randomly appear in each briefcase in the Game Show round.

Just select the stake amount and choose the case you want to put your money in. You can top up the boxes by 5x-50x, and you can do this for as many boxes as you wish within the time limit. Once the time is up, it’s on to the main game show.

Round 3 – The Main Game

The objective of this round is to win the cash in the briefcase or accept the banker’s offer. The assistant opens three briefcases which reveal three numbers. The cases corresponding to the numbers are removed from the prize board.

The dealer then makes his initial offer – you can Deal (accept the offer) or No Deal to play on.

The process continues for the next two sets of four briefcases. Each time the banker will provide an offer.

When there are the last two briefcases remaining, the Banker makes his final offer and then provide the choice of swapping cases. You then decide whether to take his offer or take one of the boxes.

That’s the end of the main round. After this, you can return to the qualification process to try again.

Tips for playing Deal or No Deal

Deal or No Deal games makes the use of RNG to determine what box contains a given payout, so there’s no strategy behind selecting certain boxes that can guarantee wins.
